FROM THE GROUND UP

 

We partnered with Aquila to bring their new brand platform to life - a campaign that reminds Australians that style starts From The Ground Up. The hero film tracks a man preparing for a night out, with his Aquila shoes becoming the anchor around which the rest of his outfit assembles. It's a visually bold metaphor, placing footwear at the foundation of modern Australian style. Set in a single, stylised environment, the piece blends performance, movement and production design to express confidence, intention,and transformation.

Our Approach

From pre-production through to final delivery, this campaign was rooted in one guiding principle: make it real. Every transition, costume reveal and visual metaphor was achieved practically, in-camera… no shortcuts, no heavy post. Our team worked closely with art department and styling to choreograph each wardrobe build precisely, ensuring every piece arrived with satisfying timing and physicality. Smart blocking, practical rigs, and tight production design allowed us to stay true to the original concept and avoid relying on VFX or CG to sell the idea. The result is a slick, performance-driven spot that delivers both visual punch and production integrity – all built from the ground up.

Alongside the hero film, we filled out the content funnel with tailored cutdowns and BTS material ensuring every frame served a purpose across platform and placement.
